Dr. Marwan Khraisheh, has been named a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). This year only 35 members worldwide representing the engineering sections have been awarded this honor by AAAS because of their scientifically distinguished efforts to advance science and its applications.

Solar Technologies Tests Discussed at the 6th Science Majlis

In 2012 this question led Qatar Science & Technology Park to establish the 35,000 m2 Solar Test Facility (STF) to study different solar technologies. Since then GreenGulf and the Qatar Environment & Energy Research Institute - who together operate the STF - have tested around two dozen photovoltaic (PV) and solar-thermal systems. Their aim has been to determine which solar technologies work best in Qatar’s heat and dust, and how to best configure and maintain them.
